Typically,
17 jewel "Sunburst" Bunns were marked "Adjusted ...5 Positions...". |
Aproximately
2500 were marked "Adjusted ...6Positions..." in 1905. |

This was obviously a marketing decision. Although the 17 jewel Bunn was probably adjusted the same as its higher jeweled brothers in reality, it was always given the 5 position marking to distinguish it as a slightly lower grade. For whatever reason, the company decided to get rid of this distinction in 1905. This probably cut into sales of the higher profit, higher jeweld Bunns and the decision was reversed after production of 2500 watches. |
