ENLARGEMENT
This Railroad grade hunter was made for Sturgell Brothers Jewelers, of Tuscola, Illinois. Tuscola is a small farming town in central Illinois. The Illinois Central RR runs through town to pick up agricultural products for the terminals in Chicago. Note the “Accurate Timekeeper” marking on the movement. There are a couple of other known examples of Hamilton Private labels with this marking on the movement.
